Journalist accreditation for the conference “Free and Secure Internet for All” and for other ICT Week events in Tallinn, Estonia, April 23 - 30

You are welcome to become accredited to one of the most important meetings on the topic of Internet freedom to be held on 28 and 29 April 2014 in Tallinn, Estonia – “Free and Secure Internet for All”.

It will bring together many international experts and foreign ministers from countries all over the world, who focus on the continued promotion of fundamental freedoms online. The epoch of Big Data provides the second key topic, the role of business in advancing an open and free Internet. Keeping the Internet a unified and de-centralised forum and tool for global free expression shall be the third focal point. Development will continue to be an important element of all discussions.

In addition to the conference, you are welcome to take part in the Google Big Tent Tallinn event on 28 April. Participants in the event, where Google invites us to debate the future of Internet freedom and governance in the age of surveillance, include Estonia’s President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Google Chief Evangelist and “father of the Internet” Vint Cerf.

We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the Freedom Online Conference is part of Estonian ICT Week 2014,   taking place from April 23-30 in Tallinn. In the course of one week, various public and business sector events will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, IT professionals, government leaders and policy makers from all over the world. Detailed information on the events is being updated at the ICT Week’s website: http://estonia.eu/ictweek/
